Would You Rather – Book Edition!

Hi everyone!

I’m back with another tag, this one I found on Lucy’s blog – That Book Gal so make sure to go and check it out! She’s amazing!

I love Would you Rather questions and ask them all the time to my family and annoy them – so this is quite literally the most perfect tag for me! You can check out the original video here:

Let’s get straight into it!divider-2461548_1280

Would You Rather…

Read only trilogies or stand-alones?
I really love trilogies so I’m going to say that! Although I am reading a lot more standalones recently!

Autumn Book Tag!

Hi everyone!

As I’m easing myself back into blogging, I’m trying to do some tags as they’re fun for the whole family! I find them fun to do, and a lot quicker than a review, and I hope you’re enjoying them too!

It’s finally the best time of the year – AUTUMN!!!! I have been sweating since the start of summer so I am so ready for weather that includes wearing jumpers, drinking hot drinks and cuddling under some blankets!!!

Also BOOK RELEASE TIME ANYONE??? My bank account is going to SUFFER!! Anyway this week I’ve finally started back at work after 3 months off sick (catch up on what’s been going on here – Where Have I Been?) so I’m sorry if my blog posts are a bit infrequent – it’s a pretty scary week for me!!!

Anyway thank you to my lovely Sarah from Book Hooked Nook tagged me in this – go check her out!

Let’s go!divider-2461548_1280

Best autumnal themed book cover?

I don’t know why but this book gives me strong Autumn feels! Maybe because of the colours??

The Lover Book Tag

Hi everyone!

As probably the entire world knows, Taylor Swift’s new album, Lover, was released the other week and I am OBSESSED WITH IT. I haven’t stopped listening to it at all, and of course I ranked all the songs in order of my favourites – but they keep changing!!!

Currently I’m loving The Man, Lover and Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince – but honestly ask me tomorrow and it will probably be different!

Anyway I saw this tag over at BookLoversBlog and knew I had to have a go! I even made my own graphics for this tag because I’m SO excited!! This tag was created by Vicky over at What Vicky Reads – so make sure to go check both of those blogs out!

Here are the rules of the tag:

  1. Thank the creator, that’s Vicky from What Vicky Read.
  2. Tag 5 friends.
  3. Have fun!

Let’s get into it!divider-2461548_1280

“It isn’t love, it isn’t hate it’s just indifference”

Unfortunately this used to be SO many books on my TBR! Recently it was Moby Dick – I completely forgot I even owned this book!

Brooklyn Nine Nine Book Tag (ORIGINAL)

Hi everyone!

Since I’ve been away from blogging, I’ve had SO many ideas for it that I’ve been working on – including a couple of original book tags! I absolutely love doing book tags, and I realised that there were so many things out of the bookish world that I love, so I thought why not combine them!

This is the first of my original tags, and focuses on one of my favourite TV shows EVER – Brooklyn Nine Nine! It’s one of my feel good shows and I had inspiration to create a book tag ages ago and I’m FINALLY getting around to making it come to life!divider-2461548_1280

3 Quotes, 3 Days!

I’m back (I think????) for now!!! I have NO idea how long I’ll be here for, because my mind likes to rule over when I blog, and when I abandon my blog for months, but HELLO MY FRIENDS!!!

I’ve been real absent from everything to do with life recently, because of some pretty crappy things that I’ve detailed in my previous post (which you can find here if you want to know more – Where Have I Been?!).

But for now I’m back with a lovely easy going post that my wonderful friend Sarah from Book Hooked Nook tagged me in! Let’s have a look at some of my favourite quotes!

The Rules

• Thank the person who nominated you

• Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day)

• Nominate 3 new bloggers each daydivider-2461548_1280

There are good days and hard days for me - even now. Don't let the hard days win..png

This quote is something that resonated with me the minute I read it. ACOMAF is my favourite SJM book, and I felt this on every level. It’s something that I always keep in mind when I’m struggling with my mental health and I love it!divider-2461548_1280

The 90’s Book Tag!

Hi everyone!

I’M BACK! Okay okay I know I keep saying that, and this time I’m not promising anything because I am very on and off with blogging these days. I’m not sure what’s going on with me at the moment, so I’m sorry if my posts are infrequent but I’ll be trying my best to keep up!

I saw this tag over on Lorryn’s blog AGES ago and I thought I would do it because it sounds amazing. I was only born in 97 so it’s not like I have any memories of the 90s, but that doesn’t mean I still don’t love everything about the 90s!

Let’s Go!divider-2461548_1280Rules:

  1. Please, please, please steal this tag and spread it around!  I only ask that you link it back to The Literary Phoenix so that I can see everyone’s answers!
  2. Freeze tag was all the rage in the 90s.  Tag someone (or many) you think would have fun with this!
  3. Have fun!

The Guilty Reader Book Tag – 2.0!

Hi everyone!

I’m back once again with a good ol’ tag! This time I was tagged by the wonderful Sarah from Book Hooked Nook – thank you so much for tagging me, and I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to do it!

I did this post before back in 2017, but when Sarah tagged me I thought it was time for an update! Let’s get into it!divider-2461548_1280

Have you ever re-gifted a book that you’ve been gifted?

I’ve given friends books I’ve gotten because I’ve read them and no longer want them, but I would never purposefully re-gift a book!

Have you ever claimed to have read a book when you haven’t?

There aren’t any books that come to mind when I think about it – so hopefully I haven’t done that!

Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?

GUILTY OKAY – I once accidentally borrowed Black Beauty from the library and then moved away from it and kept it! I’M SO SORRY.

Have you ever read a series out of order?

I accidentally read Moriarty by Anthony Horowitz, but never read the first book in the series.

Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?

Have you ever skipped a chapter or a section of a book?

I tend to skim books when I’m wanting to DNF them – however I do normally skip Nesryn’s chapters in the TOG series because she is BORING AF.

Have you ever bad-mouthed a book you actually liked?

Why?!?!?! If I love a book, I am loud and PROUD about that book!

I Tag:

Lucy – That Book Gal

Lauren – Northern Plunder

I hope you all enjoyed this tag! Leave a comment below with what you thought of my answers, or what your answers would be!

Until next time,

This tag I saw on Lucy’s wonderful blog, That Book Gal, SO long ago – but I knew I wanted to do it! Here we go!divider-2461548_1280

What is the most controversial book you have read/own, and why?

I own a copy of A Clockwork Orange so I mean – pretty controversial…

This is my second post of 2018 (I know it’s been a while!), but I am so excited to be back! I honestly have been having a bit of a rough time getting back into blogging, but I am trying my best to come back!

I really do love this type of post, so hopefully my VERY delayed survey will bring me back to the blogging world! Thank you for all being so patient with me.

This set of questions is from Perpetual Page Turner and I’m so excited to be doing it again!!
