This is my first month that I have been COMPLETELY FREE of deadlines, so I am ready to kick my freedom off with a good ol’ readathon! As you know, I’ve been wanting to take part in more readathon’s this year – (so far I’ve taken part in Wonder Week, Munches in March, #Thriller-A-Thon and #TimeHop-A-Thon!) and this is one that I am SO excited for!
I absolutely ADORE Marvel and I love reading (obviously) so this is perfect together! Jamieson from Jamishelves created this read-a-thon, and I think it’s genius! The idea is to read a book for each Marvel film released in each ‘Phase’, and you can’t move on to the next phase until completing the previous one – just like the films did! Here is the board below:
Now to get on to discuss my TBR! I’m sorry that this will be such a long post, but I have planned a book for each film just in case!

I’m back with another TBR post – I know I’m just as surprised as you! I really enjoyed my last TBR post where I got Ben to pick the TBR for the month – more on that here: Fiance Chooses my TBR! – so thought I would do it again but with my parents instead!
I really love getting others included in my reading and blogging, it’s just fun and makes me happy to combine two of my favourite things with some of my favourite people!
So I asked both my parents to choose some books for me and used the same categories that I thought of before for my last post, as they seemed to work well! As a reminder these are the categories I gave them to choose books in:
- A classic book
- An ARC chosen because of it’s title
- An ARC chosen because of it’s cover
- A book chosen off the top of his head he knew was on my TBR
- A Stephen King book
- A book from my downstairs bookshelf
- A book from the bookshelf outside my room
- A book from the bookshelf inside my room
I have been a bit ambitious and asked them to choose a book each – meaning I have 16 books on my TBR for this month – but I am now not studying at uni anymore so I have more time to read! I’m also doing a read-a-thon this month so that should help me get through them (more on that later!).
Here is my TBR for June as chosen by my parents!

I’m back again with a new Top Ten Tuesday! ! TTT has actually moved from The Broke and the Bookish now and is actually over at That Artsy Reader Girl so go and check out everyone’s posts over there!
Today’s TTT is about books on my Spring TBR! I mean it’s been snowing nearly every week in the UK recently, so I’m not even sure where Spring is, but let’s talk about books anyway!
The Astonishing Colour of After by Emily X. R. Pan
I got an ARC of this the other week and I am just so excited to read it because everyone has said it’s just amazing!
