The Hogwarts Tag!

Hi everyone!

I was tagged by the lovely Vrinda over at A Bookish Human! Thank you so much, I’m so excited to do this tag! I would have loved to go to Hogwarts – yes I may be 20 years old but I’m sure my letter just got lost in the post….right? RIGHT????

Am I a pureblood, half-blood, or muggle born?

I’m not sure but probably muggle born knowing my luck!

Which wand chose me?

Hawthorn wood with a unicorn hair core, 10 ¾” and quite bendy flexibility!

The TBR Tag!

Hi everyone!

I was tagged by the lovely Dorka over at Berries and Books! Thank you so much Dorka, I’m so excited to do this tag! I always struggle with my TBR so let’s have a look at it haha!

Here we go:

How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

I have a spreadsheet on Microsoft Excel where I have a list of all the books I own and then check them off as I read them! It was a pain to create but now I couldn’t be without it!

Is your TBR mostly print or e-book?

Mostly print definitely! I’m a physical book hoarder!

The Harry Potter Tag!

Hi everyone!

I was tagged by the lovely Paige over at Books and Belle! Thank you so much for the tag! I love Harry Potter so much, so this is the perfect tag!

Anyway here we go!

What house are you in?

HUFFLEPUFF PRIDE!!! I am a Hufflepuff and very proud of it! Even if we are sometimes the forgotten House….*cries into my imaginary pet badger*

What is your patronus?

My Patronus according to Pottermore is a Ragdoll Cat! Part of me wishes it was something like a lion but I’ll take it haha!

How I Choose My Books Tag!

Hi everyone!

I was tagged by the lovely Danielle over at The Introverted Book Nerd! Thank you for tagging me, I’m so excited to do this tag!

Find a book on your bookshelves with a blue cover. What made you want to pick up this book?
So I picked this up because well it’s Stephen King! I love him so much, and his writing literally is one of my favourite things, so of course I had to get it! Also this has a bit of blue on the cover so it fits!

Think of a book you didn’t expect to enjoy, but did. Why did you read it in the first place?

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater! I didn’t know whether it would be my type of book, but I’d heard such amazing things on people’s blogs and on Twitter, so I thought I’d give it a try! Well you can read my review here to see just how much I loved it!

Getting to Know Me Tag!

Hi everyone!

I was tagged by the lovely Ashleigh over at For the Love of Books and by the lovely Jackie over at Bookworm Cafe! I’m so unbelievably excited to do this book, it sounds so much fun and I’ve been blogging for over a year but you all still don’t really know much about me so here we go!

Can you stop reading at any time, or does it have to be a certain page or chapter?

I have to stop on a chapter! I hate stopping in between chapters because I always lose where I was on the page, and I just feel so much better being at a chapter!

Do you eat or drink anything whilst reading?

Not really! Normally I’m just completely engrossed in reading!

Can you read listening to music or watching TV?

I can listen to music but I much prefer to sit in silence and immerse myself.

One book at a time, or several at once?

It depends! I normally read several at once because my TBR is drowning me haha!

Reading at home or everywhere?

EVERYWHERE! Literally if I have even a second to read my book, you can guarantee I’ve already picked it up.

Anything But Books Tag!

Hi everyone!

I was tagged by the lovely Kris at Boston Book Reader! Thank you for the tag! I’m actually really excited to do this, it’s hard to find bookish tags that aren’t solely focused on books! Here we go:

Name a cartoon(s) that you love

Spongebob Squarepants! I’ve always loved Spongebob from when I was little and still do now!

What is your favorite song right now?

Champion by Fall Out Boy because it’s so uplifting and I’m having a hard time at the moment so it’s definitely something I need right now!

What could you do for hours (that isn’t reading)?

Writing! Whether it’s writing my feelings, writing about books, or just writing nonsense! It’s my absolute passion!

Cake Flavoured Books Tag!

Hi everyone!

I’m back with ANOTHER tag (I love doing them, and I hope you love reading them!).

I originally saw Cait over at PaperFury post this on #bookstagram, and then she made an entire post about it, so I thought it’d be a shame not to do it since it combines two of my loves!

A dark book you absolutely love

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – GODSGRAVE BY JAY KRISTOFF! This is one of the darkest books I’ve read, but is also one of the best ever books I’ve ever read! It’s so brilliantly written, and I am in love with it.

A light read

I’m not really too much of a ‘light reader’, but I really loved Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell! It was a lot of fun to read, made me laugh and warmed my heart in the best way!

Reader Problems Book Tag!

Hi everyone!

I found this book tag on BooksAmino (the BEST app in the world, check it out I highly recommend!). It was originally done on the channel About To Read, have a look at that here! Here are my answers:

You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you choose what to read next?

I have no idea really! I just look at my shelf and see which one I feel like reading at the time! Or if not I see which one I need to read soon to talk about and stuff or to review!

You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?

I’m pretty committed to finishing it! I hate leaving a book unfinished, so I always push myself to finish them if I can.

The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

I don’t particularly try to catch up, I just carry on reading as I normally do. If I push myself to finish a certain number of books I probably won’t enjoy them as much since I just want to get through them. So I just read like normal and see if I catch up by the end!

Rapid Fire Book Tag!

Hi everyone!

I loved the idea of this tag! It was originally created by GirlReading, so go check out her video on it to see her version!

E-Book or Physical Book?

Physical Book! I do love e-books purely because they’re perfect for holiday reading since they take up no room, but there’s nothing better than holding a physical book in your hand, or looking at them all pretty on the bookshelf!

Paperback or Hardback?

I love how hardbacks look on a shelf, and how durable they are, but paperbacks are so much easier to carry around and read! They’re just much easier to handle, so paperbacks!

Online or In-Store Book Shopping?

In-store book shopping! Again I do once in a while online shop purely because of the cheap prices you can get, but one of my favourite things in the world is walking into a bookshop and browsing the shelves! I can also find a lot more books when I’m shopping in store, so helps to give me a range of things to read!

Trilogies or Series?

Either! I love both, and they’re both good in their own way. Some books are dragged out into a series that could have been a trilogy, others are rushed to be a trilogy when they could have been a series, and others are perfect how they are no matter the length! I love both trilogies and series!

Heroes or Villains?

I’m a sucker for a good villain, I normally find the best quality in a villain and then use that as a reason why I’m allowed to love them haha! I do love the heroes, but I think I’ll always have a soft spot for a good villain.

A book you want everyone to read?

Cinder by Marissa Meyer! I loved this book (and the rest of the series) and it’s one of my favourite books! I loved it and recommend everyone to read it because it was so good!
