Would You Rather – Book Edition!

Hi everyone!

I’m back with another tag, this one I found on Lucy’s blog – That Book Gal so make sure to go and check it out! She’s amazing!

I love Would you Rather questions and ask them all the time to my family and annoy them – so this is quite literally the most perfect tag for me! You can check out the original video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcZFaBgg7xw.

Let’s get straight into it!divider-2461548_1280

Would You Rather…

Read only trilogies or stand-alones?
I really love trilogies so I’m going to say that! Although I am reading a lot more standalones recently!

Autumn Book Tag!

Hi everyone!

As I’m easing myself back into blogging, I’m trying to do some tags as they’re fun for the whole family! I find them fun to do, and a lot quicker than a review, and I hope you’re enjoying them too!

It’s finally the best time of the year – AUTUMN!!!! I have been sweating since the start of summer so I am so ready for weather that includes wearing jumpers, drinking hot drinks and cuddling under some blankets!!!

Also BOOK RELEASE TIME ANYONE??? My bank account is going to SUFFER!! Anyway this week I’ve finally started back at work after 3 months off sick (catch up on what’s been going on here – Where Have I Been?) so I’m sorry if my blog posts are a bit infrequent – it’s a pretty scary week for me!!!

Anyway thank you to my lovely Sarah from Book Hooked Nook tagged me in this – go check her out!

Let’s go!divider-2461548_1280

The Lover Book Tag

Hi everyone!

As probably the entire world knows, Taylor Swift’s new album, Lover, was released the other week and I am OBSESSED WITH IT. I haven’t stopped listening to it at all, and of course I ranked all the songs in order of my favourites – but they keep changing!!!

Currently I’m loving The Man, Lover and Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince – but honestly ask me tomorrow and it will probably be different!

Anyway I saw this tag over at BookLoversBlog and knew I had to have a go! I even made my own graphics for this tag because I’m SO excited!! This tag was created by Vicky over at What Vicky Reads – so make sure to go check both of those blogs out!

Here are the rules of the tag:

  1. Thank the creator, that’s Vicky from What Vicky Read.
  2. Tag 5 friends.
  3. Have fun!

Let’s get into it!divider-2461548_1280

Books That Have Influenced My Life!

Hi everyone!

Today I wanted to talk about some books that have been extremely influential in my life, and ones that I don’t think I’d be who I am now without reading them in my life!

I love being nostalgic about books, and I can’t wait to share some of my all time favourites with you!

Let’s go!divider-2461548_1280

Matilda by Roald Dahl

Reading Matilda was the first time I ever read about someone who loved reading as much as I did. I’ve grown up in a family of readers, but none of my friends ever really read. It was so inspiring reading about someone who wasn’t part of my family who loved reading so much and really developed my love for books, and then seeing her do magic? It was THE BEST!

Books Released So Far in 2019 I Want to Read!

Hi everyone!

I’m back with a post featuring some 2019 book releases that are already out, but that I want to eventually get around to reading! I am so excited for all of these!

I’ve been using my library a lot more recently as I can’t really justify buying books at the moment, so hopefully they get some of these in so I can read them! I’m loving using the library and they are getting some new books in quite frequently so I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

Until then I will share my excitement with you guys, and feel free to let me know down below what releases you’re excited for!divider-2461548_1280

With The Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo

First off this cover is GORGEOUS. Also this sounds so unique and so brilliant. I’ve read nothing but amazing reviews about it, and it has really made me super hyped for it! I love a good contemporary and one about a single mum following her dreams as a chef? It just sounds so wholesome and I can’t wait!

3 Quotes, 3 Days!

LONG TIME NO SEE FRIENDS!!

I’m back (I think????) for now!!! I have NO idea how long I’ll be here for, because my mind likes to rule over when I blog, and when I abandon my blog for months, but HELLO MY FRIENDS!!!

I’ve been real absent from everything to do with life recently, because of some pretty crappy things that I’ve detailed in my previous post (which you can find here if you want to know more – Where Have I Been?!).

But for now I’m back with a lovely easy going post that my wonderful friend Sarah from Book Hooked Nook tagged me in! Let’s have a look at some of my favourite quotes!

This quote is something that resonated with me the minute I read it. ACOMAF is my favourite SJM book, and I felt this on every level. It’s something that I always keep in mind when I’m struggling with my mental health and I love it!divider-2461548_1280

Where Have I Been?

Hi everyone!

I was going to start this by saying “it’s been a while”, but honestly I feel like that is such an understatement! I haven’t fully been dedicated to my blog AT ALL this year – I’ve posted every now and again but haven’t really been back as much as I normally am. I wanted to write a little update post on what’s been happening, and why I’ve been so absent recently – and also give some of my reading stats this year so far!

This is probably going to be a long one because there’s quite a lot of stuff to update you on – but I’ll split it into sections to make it easier!

Okay here goes…divider-2461548_1280

Life

Life has been a bit of a weird one for 2019 so far. It started off wild with some family stuff going on in my family, and then as the year went on, some family stuff happened with Ben’s family and it was all a bit of a roller-coaster. We seem to be on the come up now from it all, but it’s been a bit of a rough one.

Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman // Review

Title: Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman // Review

Rating: ★★★★★

Release: 7th February 2017

Synopsis: The great Norse myths, which have inspired so much of modern fiction, are dazzlingly retold by Neil Gaiman. Tales of dwarfs and frost giants, of treasure and magic, and of Asgard, home to the gods: Odin the all-father, highest and oldest of the Aesir; his mighty son Thor, whose hammer Mjollnir makes the mountain giants tremble; Loki, wily and handsome, reliably unreliable in his lusts; and Freya, more beautiful than the sun or the moon, who spurns those who seek to control her.divider-2461548_1280

A wonderful insight into the world of Norse Mythology, and the trials of the gods.
