Review:

This book was one of the best murder mystery books I’ve read in a very long time!

Ant & Bea are a duo that could give even the worst detectives a run for their money, but they do it in the best way! I loved everything about this book. The friendship between Ant, Bea and Dot was one of the best things. I loved how I felt so involved in their relationship, it was like reading about friends of mine.

The story overall was so clever and brilliantly written, not only was I constantly on edge wondering who was committing the crimes, but I absolutely loved the setting of Costsave, and how we got to see the daily life of them there. It felt so easy to immerse yourself in the story, and was so unique for a murder mystery.

I’ve never read about a crime in such a common situation that could easily happen, so it also added a bit of suspense that I never expected! The story was told in such a fun way in parts, it helped to lift the dark underlying story, and I loved it.

Everything about this book was written so well and the ending kept me on the edge of my seat, so much I couldn’t put it down!

A fun, deadly, and friendly murder mystery told in one of the most unique and exciting ways, this book is definitely the start of a series that is definitely going to be one to watch out for.

You can buy The Cost Of Living on Amazon UK here!

*NOTE: I was sent this book in return for an honest review and that is what I have written. All opinions are my own and are completely truthful.*

I was tagged by the lovely Dorka over at Berries and Books! Thank you so much Dorka, I’m so excited to do this tag! I always struggle with my TBR so let’s have a look at it haha!

divider-2461548_1280

Here we go:

How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

I have a spreadsheet on Microsoft Excel where I have a list of all the books I own and then check them off as I read them! It was a pain to create but now I couldn’t be without it!

Is your TBR mostly print or e-book?

Mostly print definitely! I’m a physical book hoarder!

What is the one book you own that means the most to you? And why?

Okay so I have a few that mean a lot to me, but I’m going to say The Stand by Stephen King. It means the world to me because my nan bought it my dad when he was younger, and it’s my dad’s favourite book. He doesn’t read much so this being his favourite really means a lot, and he passed it down to me, just like my nan passed it down to him. I love how we have a book heirloom, and it brings with it a piece of my nan (who sadly passed away 3 years ago), and my dad, who entrusted me to look after it.

How I Choose My Books Tag!

Hi everyone!

I was tagged by the lovely Danielle over at The Introverted Book Nerd! Thank you for tagging me, I’m so excited to do this tag!

Find a book on your bookshelves with a blue cover. What made you want to pick up this book?
So I picked this up because well it’s Stephen King! I love him so much, and his writing literally is one of my favourite things, so of course I had to get it! Also this has a bit of blue on the cover so it fits!

Think of a book you didn’t expect to enjoy, but did. Why did you read it in the first place?

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater! I didn’t know whether it would be my type of book, but I’d heard such amazing things on people’s blogs and on Twitter, so I thought I’d give it a try! Well you can read my review here to see just how much I loved it!
