Shuffle the Music Tag!

Hi everyone!

Today I’m back with a tag that is VERY unusual for my blog! I know that this is a book blog, but my lovely Ash from For the Love of Books tagged me in this and it looked WAY too much fun to pass on! I hope you all don’t mind!

I cheated and did 20 because it fit better! I thought since I use Spotify and my normal iPod songs I’d do 10 of each!divider-2461548_1280

THE RULES:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you for this tag and link to their blog.
  2. Shuffle your entire music library (no matter how old songs the songs are) and talk about the FIRST FIFTEEN songs that come up (anything like why they are there, if they signify something, any story, why you like them, etc.)
  3. Mention the songs as well as the artists.
  4. Tag 7 people or more to do this tag and please let them know!

I’m excited because I have a VERY wide song variety so let’s get into it!

BLOG TOUR: The Hanging Women by John Mead // Review

Title: The Hanging Women by John Mead

Rating: ★★★

Release: 28th February 2018

Synopsis: Jack Stevens discovers the bodies of two women, Philomena Blackstaff and Mary Walsh, tied together and hung by their ankles in a position resembling the symbol for treachery as depicted on tarot cards. Though retired and now wealthy, Stevens is an ex-sheriff and involves himself in the subsequent investigation. As a result of Jack `stealing’ Philomena’s diary and his association with the Pinkerton detective agency, it is discovered that Mary Walsh worked undercover for the Pinkertons, investigating the Knights of Labour (the fastest growing workers’ rights movements in America of the late 1800’s). The women had been working together, tracing the man who was selling guns and dynamite to the more extremest factions of the workers movement. This led them to Ruby’s, a secret `nightclub for deviants’, where Stevens and Inspector O’Leary believe the pair fell foul of the man they were looking for, gang leader Joseph Mannheim. With the May 4th Haymarket riots and bombings looming, Stevens must uncover the truth about The Hanging Women before it’s too late.divider-2461548_1280Review:

A murder. A mystery. A unofficial detective. The newest crime thriller of 2018.

Spring Unhaul Tag!

Hi everyone!

I have news guys! I HAVE OFFICIALLY COMPLETED MY UNIVERSITY DEGREE! I handed in my final deadline this morning which means my three years of university are complete and I am free to commit everything I have to blogging again!

On that note – today I have something I saw on BooksandLala’s YouTube channel and really wanted to do! I thought I needed to do some spring cleaning and unhaul some books – and I think I did pretty well!

Here we go!divider-2461548_1280

A BOOK YOU RATED LOW:

So I decided to unhaul these two because although I did really like them, they just weren’t some of the most highly rated books I own! I think I gave them both like three stars which isn’t by any means a low rating, but they were the lowest rated books I have! So as fun as they were – they just weren’t for me!

However my family and friends have been AMAZING this week, and I also went to an open day for a job after I graduate which was extremely nerve wracking but so exciting!

divider-2461548_1280ANDREA’S QUESTIONS:

  1. What’s the first line in the book you are currently reading?

I think it was Black Beauty, if I remember right!

  3. What TV series are you following right now?

Riverdale – I absolutely LOVE it!

  4. Which series do you wish to finish this year?

I don’t know if this is TV or book series so I’ll answer both!

TV – Jessica Jones Season 2

I don’t eat much while reading, but I’d probably choose chocolate if anything, because I mean…chocolate!
