If you didn’t know, I recently took part in the Thriller-A-Thon – a readathon that is focused on getting through some of your most anticipated thrillers, and the TimeHop-A-Thon! If you missed my TBR on these, then you can check them out here (Thriller-A-Thon TBR! & TimeHop-A-Thon TBR!) to compare what I wanted to read, to what I actually read!
I wish I’d have been able to read more, but I guess that’s what you get for trying to balance out two readathons during the same time haha! I am still happy with what I read, and I’ll go through in more detail my thoughts on each book in my February wrap up which will be live soon!
Thriller-A-Thon Wrap Up!
I fully intended to read the full five books for this readathon, and was SO excited! However unfortunately university got in the way, so I managed to read 2 full books, and was only 100 pages off of finishing my 3rd book! How annoying! I read:

The first month of 2018 is over and I’ve kicked off the year with quite a few amazing reads! I feel like this month has gone on FOREVER and now I’m back at university for my final semester I know I’m going to wish January was even longer! Let’s see what I got to read this month!
Title: I Am Thunder by Muhammad Khan
Review: This was definitely a standout book for the year already. It was eye opening, honest and so raw at times. I loved how genuine the characters were and the passion you could feel in the writing! I’ll have a review up soon!

IT’S DECEMBER??? HOW???? I am honestly shook that this is the last month of the year. Where has my life gone??? Anyway I didn’t read too much (for me) this month because DEADLINE HELL – but what I did read I loved!!! Let’s get into it:
Title: dissent:RENEGADES by R. J. Furness
Review: I was sent this by the lovely author himself, and I absolutely LOVED it!!! I honestly can’t recommend it enough, it’s so much fun and so brilliantly written. Check out my review here!

I can’t believe it’s almost December already?? Where is this year going?? I only have a few months left at university and I’M NOT READY! The years keep getting quicker and quicker, and I’m not okay with it at all!
This month I had one of the best reading months in a while! Not because I read the most amount of books I’ve read or anything, but because the books I did get to were AMAZING! I read so many 5 star books this month, and I can’t wait to talk about them, because I still have SO MANY feelings! Here we go:
Title: Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart
Review: I was sent this by NetGalley, so thank you to NetGalley! However I was actually sadly not a fan! I really didn’t like the writing style, and just felt the characters were a little flat for my taste! But I still have hope I’ll like other books by this author! My review of this book will be live tomorrow!

IT’S FINALLY HAPPENED! It’s the end of October and I’m actually posting my wrap up – IT’S ON TIME! Can we all just appreciate this moment, because I am so proud of myself for finally being on time again!
I also read some very brilliant books this month, and a few more ARC’s! October is the month of Halloween so I tried to keep all my reads very spooky related, and I think I did well! I love spooky books so this is always my favourite reading month! Anyway let’s get to it:
Title: Strange Weather by Joe Hill
Review: This book is one of my highly anticipated releases of the year, so when I got approved on Edelweiss for a copy I was obviously ECSTATIC! I loved this book so much from start to finish, each short story got better and better! I love Joe Hill’s writing so much. My review will be up on the 31st of this month!

I’M SO SORRY I’M LATE AGAIN! I guess only being a month late isn’t too bad though?? I read SO many good books last month, and I can’t wait to share them with you! All the reviews are linked below, so let’s get to it!
Title: One Quiet Woman by Anna Jacobs
Review: I read this as part of a book tour, and I absolutely loved it. I was unsure as to what my thoughts would be after first reading the synopsis as it’s not normally a genre I’m used to. However I absolutely adored every single thing about it! The story was so brilliant, with so many exciting elements to it! You can read my full review here!
Oh my gosh is it happening? Am I FINALLY back with a wrap up? YES IT IS! I have been so slack with doing my monthly wrap ups, I always forget to recently but I just need to share the amazing books I read!
This is probably going to be a long post so I’m sorry, but it’s going to have 2 months of wrap up in, and I read a lot of books haha!
Anyway let’s just get straight into it!
June Wrap Up!
I read some brilliant books, and also re-read a couple favourites this month – AND I FINALLY FINISHED THE RAVEN CYCLE AND I’M STILL NOT OVER IT!
Title: Matilda by Roald Dahl
Review: This is one of my favourite books of all time, and I got the boxset of Roald Dahl books for Christmas so I just felt like it deserved a re-read! I still adore it just as much as I did the first time!

I’m finally back with my May Wrap Up! I really didn’t think that this was a successful reading month until I reviewed my Goodreads and realised I actually read 7 books this month! To say I’ve been working throughout the month too, I think that’s a pretty good reading month! I also LOVED most of the books I read this month, and I can’t wait to share them with you! Here we go:
Title: The Hell-Hound of the Baskervilles by G.S. Denning
Review: I was so lucky to receive this book from the wonderful author himself to review before it was released to the public and I can’t believe how much I am in love with this series! This book was so funny, and the accuracy compared to the original series is one of my favourite things! Every single character was absolutely perfect, and the development of the story was so good. You can find my full review for this brilliant book here!
Title: A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
Review: I CAN’T EVEN COPE WITH THIS BOOK! I don’t have much to say about this one that I haven’t basically exploded and fangirled about in my full review other than the fact that this was the absolute perfect end to this trilogy and I am filled with EVERY emotion possible! Read my full review here!

I really didn’t read many books last month! It was the final month of university deadlines, so it meant I barely had any time to read, which was very sad! However the three books I did manage to get round to reading were definitely worth it! A nice range of genres too! Here we go:
Title: Horns by Joe Hill
Review: I love Joe Hill’s books so much, but I’d never read this book or seen the film! I knew that the film was really well received so I couldn’t wait to actually read the book! It didn’t let me down at all, from the first page I was hooked and the writing was absolutely amazing! I will have a full review up soon for this book, but I recommend it so much! The story and the characters worked perfectly together and I couldn’t put it down!
Title: The Who’s Who of British Crime: In The Twentieth Century by Jim Morris
Review: True crime is one of my favourite genres, I love reading about this type of thing, and since this one was entirely about Britain (where I live!) it intrigued me even more! I borrowed it from the library and it was such an interesting read. It had such good information for each point, and was brilliantly written.
Title: Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
Review: My best friend bought me this for Christmas as it was said if you loved The Book Thief (my favourite book ever!), then this was also set to be a favourite. It didn’t lie, I am so in love with this book! The writing style was so beautiful and had some absolutely gorgeous quotes in. I love the relationship between Maddie and Queenie and it even brought me to tears at one point! I completely sold my heart over to the characters within the book, and I’m emotionally ruined in the best way! A full review will be up soon!
That’s it for last month! I can’t wait to see what this month has in store for me! It’s only the 2nd May and ACOWAR is out so it’s looking like a pretty good month already!!My April Book Haul video will be up on my YouTube channel soon, but until then click here to catch up on my videos!
Until next time,
I swear I start every single blog post exactly the same but I am so sorry for taking so long to post again! The amount of stuff I’ve had to do is insane, I’ve been slacking and I’m sorry!
I did make a new YouTube video finally though with my January Book Haul, which you can see if you follow this link! : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1UG2dB_YWE&t=1s!
Anyway here we are for my February Wrap Up! I actually can’t believe that I’m already writing this, this year is already going so quick! The start of this month didn’t start out well for my reading life, I got so caught up in a lot of things that it took me forever to get through books even though they were so good! However then as the month carried on, I had more time to read and I managed to read 5 books! Here they are:
Title: An Illustrated History of Notable Shadowhunters and Denizens of Downworld by Cassandra Clare
Review: I got this book for Christmas and it is gorgeous. The illustrations by Cassandra Jean are breathtaking. I love the fact that we get to finally see what each character in the series’ so far are pictured to look like (to compare with our own images of them!), and the little bit of information about them is so nice too! I also loved how we get to meet characters that haven’t been introduced yet – it’s all so exciting! Also Jem is in there and he looks as beautiful as I imagined him to!
Title: Dear Amy by Helen Callaghan
Review: NetGalley were kind enough to grant my request for this book, so I got a free e-copy of it to read. I had high hopes for this book when I started it, and for the first half of the book I was completely hooked. However then I felt it just missed something, it didn’t keep me as interested anymore and I felt more like I was reading through it because I wanted to move onto something else than I was because I actually wanted to read it. I did like the idea of the book, and as I said I think the first half of the book was brilliant and I loved how I was constantly guessing. I just think that the second half and the ending wasn’t what I hoped for and didn’t live up to the start.
