So last month I got my fiance, Ben to choose my TBR for the month! I thought I’d do a quick summary post of how I got on with the books he chose – I think I did pretty well! As a reminder here are the books he chose: Fiance Chooses my TBR!
A classic book:
To Kill A Mockingbird
I actually got this read and I’m SO glad I did! It was so interesting and I couldn’t believe it had taken me so long to get to it. I can’t wait to write my review of it, I can see why it is Ben’s favourite book.

I AM FREE OF DEADLINES FOREVER! This month I handed in my final deadline for university and I am officially FREE! Well that is until I can get a full time job, but for now I’m enjoying my freedom and doing some reading! I read 13 books this month, and quite a lot of ARC’s which I am so happy with!
Let’s check out what I read!
Title: The Astonishing Colour of After by Emily X. R. Pan
Review: I didn’t really know much about this book when I got accepted for it on NetGalley but wow am I glad I read it. It was so poetically written and I just adored how deep the meaning behind it was, and it really made me think and brought me to tears quite a lot too. My review
will be up soon!

Well to say that I was completely DROWNING in coursework last month, I’m actually quite impressed at how much I got read! I also got down quite a few ARC’s so yay me! I finish university completely at the end of this month, so I’m excited to get back to reading CONSTANTLY!
Let’s check out what I read!
Title: Invitation to Poetry by Mihai Brinas
Review: I’m really getting into poetry recently, and when Mihai asked me to read this, I was very excited and it lived up to my expectations. I loved how beautiful it was, and some of the poems really got to me in a good way.

So it’s officially April which means that Wonder Week has been over for a couple of weeks now, but I’m only just finding the time to write about it – I know I’m a bad blogger!
Anyway, if you don’t know what Wonder Week is, then check out my post for my TBR here: Wonder Week TBR!. It was a week long readathon, and I really tried my best to get to as many books as I could but unfortunately didn’t do as well as I hoped!

March is over, and although SO many things happened this month including getting a new job, handing in my first deadlines and also going to see FALL OUT BOY OMG – I also surprisingly managed to read quite a bit! Also can we appreciate for a second how many ARC’s I read this month? YES GO MEGGAN! Now if only I’d stop requesting them too…
Title: Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
Review: If you follow me on Twitter then you will know how much I absolutely adore this book. It was the fantasy that everyone needed and I am just so in love with the writing style – I went and ordered the hardback because I need every edition in my life! Review is here!

February is over, and I definitely had a great reading month! The start of the month was a lot more successful than the end, and I’m not entirely sure why to be honest! However all in all I read 11 books this month, which when you look at my haul this month, apart from ARC’s I actually read more than I bought! PROGRESS! Let’s get into it:
Title: Cauldrons Bubble by Amber Elby
Review: I absolutely adored this book. I love Shakespeare and have since I was little so when Amber asked me to read this, which is a Shakespeare retelling I was SOLD. The book overall is absolutely wonderful, and I didn’t want it to end at all! Luckily enough there’s more books in the series so I’m happy now, but I need the next book! My review is here:

If you didn’t know, I recently took part in the Thriller-A-Thon – a readathon that is focused on getting through some of your most anticipated thrillers, and the TimeHop-A-Thon! If you missed my TBR on these, then you can check them out here (Thriller-A-Thon TBR! & TimeHop-A-Thon TBR!) to compare what I wanted to read, to what I actually read!
I wish I’d have been able to read more, but I guess that’s what you get for trying to balance out two readathons during the same time haha! I am still happy with what I read, and I’ll go through in more detail my thoughts on each book in my February wrap up which will be live soon!
Thriller-A-Thon Wrap Up!
I fully intended to read the full five books for this readathon, and was SO excited! However unfortunately university got in the way, so I managed to read 2 full books, and was only 100 pages off of finishing my 3rd book! How annoying! I read:

Title: I Am Thunder by Muhammad Khan
Review: This was definitely a standout book for the year already. It was eye opening, honest and so raw at times. I loved how genuine the characters were and the passion you could feel in the writing! I’ll have a review up soon!
