BookTubeAThon 2018 TBR!

Hi everyone!

I’m back with my BookTubeAThon 2018 TBR! I had SO much fun last year with the BTAT 17, and managed to read all of the books I set, and do the majority of the bookstagram and video challenges – it was one of the best weeks ever!

I’m so excited to once again be taking part in it this year, however due to having no wifi at home I probably won’t be able to take part in any of the booktube challenges *cries forever*. I still want to take part in the readathon though, so I will be doing as many of the bookstagram challenges and the reading challenges as I can fit around work!

Anyway let’s get into my TBR! There are so many amazing challenges this year, and I love them so let’s talk about it!

Coin Toss Choice:

For this challenge Ariel wants us to let a coin decide what we read, which I think is so much fun! I picked two books, The Dazzling Heights by Katharine McGee and The Shock of the Fall, and then tossed a coin to decide which one and the winner was…

The Dazzling Heights by Katharine McGee!

Marvel-A-Thon TBR!

Hi everyone!

This is my first month that I have been COMPLETELY FREE of deadlines, so I am ready to kick my freedom off with a good ol’ readathon! As you know, I’ve been wanting to take part in more readathon’s this year – (so far I’ve taken part in Wonder Week, Munches in March, #Thriller-A-Thon and #TimeHop-A-Thon!) and this is one that I am SO excited for!

I absolutely ADORE Marvel and I love reading (obviously) so this is perfect together! Jamieson from Jamishelves created this read-a-thon, and I think it’s genius! The idea is to read a book for each Marvel film released in each ‘Phase’, and you can’t move on to the next phase until completing the previous one – just like the films did! Here is the board below:

Now to get on to discuss my TBR! I’m sorry that this will be such a long post, but I have planned a book for each film just in case!

Parents Choose My TBR!

Hi everyone!

I’m back with another TBR post – I know I’m just as surprised as you! I really enjoyed my last TBR post where I got Ben to pick the TBR for the month – more on that here: Fiance Chooses my TBR! – so thought I would do it again but with my parents instead!

I really love getting others included in my reading and blogging, it’s just fun and makes me happy to combine two of my favourite things with some of my favourite people!

So I asked both my parents to choose some books for me and used the same categories that I thought of before for my last post, as they seemed to work well! As a reminder these are the categories I gave them to choose books in:

  1. A classic book
  2. An ARC chosen because of it’s title
  3. An ARC chosen because of it’s cover
  4. A book chosen off the top of his head he knew was on my TBR
  5. A Stephen King book
  6. A book from my downstairs bookshelf
  7. A book from the bookshelf outside my room
  8. A book from the bookshelf inside my room

I have been a bit ambitious and asked them to choose a book each – meaning I have 16 books on my TBR for this month – but I am now not studying at uni anymore so I have more time to read! I’m also doing a read-a-thon this month so that should help me get through them (more on that later!).

Here is my TBR for June as chosen by my parents!divider-2461548_1280

Fiance Chooses my TBR!

Hi everyone!

I’m back with a different post today, one I’ve never done before! I saw this on BooksandLala’s YouTube channel, and thought it was such a fun thing to do, and really wanted to try it to get through some of my neverending TBR!

So I asked my fiance, Ben, to choose some books for me and gave him certain categories to choose in so it would be a bit easier for him! These are the categories I gave him to choose books in:

  1. A classic book
  2. An ARC chosen because of it’s title
  3. An ARC chosen because of it’s cover
  4. A book chosen off the top of his head he knew was on my TBR
  5. A Stephen King book
  6. A book from my downstairs bookshelf
  7. A book from the bookshelf outside my room
  8. A book from the bookshelf inside my room

He did so great, and picked some books I am SUPER excited to read so let’s get into what he chose! Continue reading “Fiance Chooses my TBR!”

Munches in March TBR!

Hi everyone!

I’ve decided that 2018 is the year of the readathons for me! I find them SO much fun to take part in, and even if I don’t get to all the books I just feel so inclusive of the community and motivated to read books!!!

I saw Munches in March and knew it sounded like something I wanted to do! It is hosted by Books and Munchies and I can’t wait to take part! This readathon is all month long, and it has a cute little bingo square to go along with it! I am determined to at least complete one line, so we’ll see how we go! Here is the bingo table!

I can’t wait to read this and I’ve heard AMAZING things so I have high hopes!

September TBR!

Hi everyone!

So September marks my return to uni (my second year!) meaning that I’ll have more coursework, more writing and sadly probably less reading! I’ve read some amazing books this summer though, so I can’t complain too much I guess! Here is my TBR for this month:

  1. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
  2. Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
  3. Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
  4. Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
  5. Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
  6. The Young Elites by Marie Lu

If you haven’t guessed since EOS came out this month (I AM SO EXCITED, TOG IS MY FAVOURITE SERIES OMG), I decided I wanted to re-read the series in preparation! The Young Elites is something I’ve been wanting to read for ages so thought I’d put that in too!

What is on your TBR for this month?

August TBR!

Hi everyone!

August is the last month I have before I go to back to university, so I want to make sure I get as many books read while I can! I can’t take hardback books to uni with me since they’re too heavy and big to carry around so I’m trying to read as many of the hardbacks I have this month as I can! Because of this I’ve made my TBR a little longer this month, I hope I stick to it haha!

  1. Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
  2. Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
  3. Cress by Marissa Meyer
  4. Winter by Marissa Meyer
  5. Gone by Michael Grant
  6. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K.Rowling

Leave a comment with your TBR’s, or with what you think of the books I plan to read!

Happy Reading everyone!

Love,

July TBR!

Hi everyone! It’s official, we’re now fully into the second half of the year! It’s scary to think half of 2016 has already gone, but I’ve read a lot of books so it’s been well spent haha! Take a look at my June Wrap Up to have a look what I read!

I don’t really have a plan for my TBR this month but I think the theme of it (other than getting down my HUGE TBR list) is to start some series! Saying that my TBR this month is:

  1. Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige
  2. The Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater
  3. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
  4. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
  5. The Enemy by Charlie Higson

All of these books are the first in either a series or a duology and I thought it was about time I started them! I’ve seen Me Before You 3 times in a month so I think it’s about time I read the book!

Hopefully I stick to it!

What are your TBR’s for this month? Leave a comment with them so I can have a look!

Love,

Meggan x

June TBR!

Hi everyone!

May seems to have gone so quickly! The start of a new month means a TBR needs to be sorted out! I’m normally very indecisive when it comes to what I read during a month so I’m hoping I actually stick to this this month! I have a lot of sequels to read, so I’m going to focus mainly on those. These are the books I hope to read this month:

  1. Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare (Final book of The Infernal Devices)
  2. The Sleeping Prince by Melinda Salisbury (Sequel to The Sin Eater’s Daughter)
  3. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas (Sequel to A Court of Thorns and Roses)
  4. The Last Star by Rick Yancey (Final book of The 5th Wave Trilogy)
  5. An Eagle in the Snow by Michael Morpurgo

Most of these are sequels to other series, since I realised I had so many to read and hadn’t started any yet! I’ve already started The Infernal Devices, you can read my review of the first two books in my May Wrap Up.

Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them? I can’t wait to read them!

Let me know what you’re reading this month too!

Love,

Meggan x
