It’s day 10 of Blogtober, and suprise surprise I have another tag! There have been so many tags I’ve been wanting to do recently but when I saw this one ages ago over on Becca Leighanne I just thought it sounded so fun!
What book has been on your shelf the longest?
Probably War and Peace!
What is your current read, your last read, and the book you’ll read next?
Current – The Taking of Annie Thorne by C. J. Tudor and Dread Nation by Justine Ireland
Last – Lock Every Door by Riley Sager
Next – Deadline by Mira Grant
What book did everyone like, but you hated?
Looking For Alaska by John Green – this book is so hyped and people are super excited for the adaptation but I’m like ????
What book do you keep telling yourself you’ll read, but you probably won’t?
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern – I keep it on my TBR all the time but never get around to it.
What book are you saving for retirement?
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy – It will definitely take me my entire rest of my life to finish because BOY is it big.
Last page: read it first, or wait ’til the end?
Always wait until the end! No spoilers for me!
Acknowledgement: waste of paper and ink, or interesting aside?
I love reading the acknowledgements and reading how other people inspired books I love!
Which book character would you switch places with?
Tabby from Paper and Hearts Society by Lucy Powrie because her book club friends are GOALS.
Do you have a book that reminds you of something specific in your life? (Place, time, person?)
Reading IT reminds me of university when I was trying to ignore my deadlines *DON’T DO THIS KIDS*
Name a book that you acquired in an interesting way.
I haven’t really acquired one in an interesting way that I can think of?
Have you ever given a book away for a special reason to a special person?
I don’t think I have? But I have been given all of my dad’s Stephen King collection because he wanted to pass them down to me!
Which book has been with you most places?
Twilight – I’ve read it the most times out of any book so it’s probably been to the most places!
Any “required reading” you hated in high school that wasn’t so bad two years later?
I actually loved all of my required reading at school – Of Mice and Men and Shakespeare are still my favourite!
Used or brand new?
Both! I love a brand new book, but seeing a book so loved by others is just wonderful!
Have you ever read a Dan Brown book?
Have you ever seen a movie you liked more than the book?
Nerve by Jeanne Ryan for sure.
Have you ever read a book that’s made you hungry, cookbooks included?
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is just FILLED with amazing food!
Who is the person whose book advice you’ll always take?
Mariam – she always reads and recommends the BEST books.
Is there a book out of your comfort zone (e.g., outside your usual reading genre) that you ended up loving?
ALL of Christina Lauren’s books!!! I never read romance but their books are my favourite!
Sarah – Book Hooked Nook
Layla – Readable Life
Nicola – Fantastic Book Dragon
There we go, I hope you enjoyed this tag – I think this was one of my favourite ones I’ve ever done! Let me know your thoughts below!
Until next time,
