Was I ready for this to be over? NOPE. Was it absolute perfection? YOU ARE COMPLETELY CORRECT.

I honestly had no idea how I wanted this series to end, but as per usual, Victoria knew the absolutely perfect way. Each and every character in this book was well written, amazingly developed and just truly brilliant as a continuation of the first two books.

In particular I loved how Kell and Rhy’s relationship developed, seeing the trust between them was so beautiful.

There is so much heartbreak inside these pages (in true Schwab style of course), but it was all written so well. My heart went through A LOT, but honestly I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Alucard is so great in this book and his comedic value adds such a brilliant light-hearted side to such an otherwise dark book. Every character is so important and interacts brilliantly with the rest of the cast.

Osaron was a fantastic villain, and I thought they had truly met their match. He was cunning and diabolical, and a perfect villain to end the series. I think he is genuinely one of my favourite villains of all time. Please don’t make me talk about Holland because my heart HURTS.

I adore this book and it truly was a perfect ending to a series that stole my heart from the very first page:

“Kell wore a very peculiar coat.”
