Release: 7th February 2019
Synopsis: Alicia Berenson writes a diary as a release, an outlet – and to prove to her beloved husband that everything is fine. She can’t bear the thought of worrying Gabriel, or causing him pain. Until, late one evening, Alicia shoots Gabriel five times and then never speaks another word.
Forensic psychotherapist Theo Faber is convinced he can successfully treat Alicia, where all others have failed. Obsessed with investigating her crime, his discoveries suggest Alicia’s silence goes far deeper than he first thought. And if she speaks, would he want to hear the truth?
An exciting new mystery thriller that will leave you hooked from the very first page.
This book was completely mind blowing and I don’t think I’ve read anything like it before in my life. The writing style was completely outstanding and it knew exactly how to keep the mystery and suspense going.
I was constantly trying to guess what was happening the entirety of the novel, and I couldn’t have been more wrong. Each character worked so well together, and all of them had their own stories and their own mysteries to keep the thrill of the chase alive.
The ending left me gobsmacked by also so satisfied as the story all fell into place. It was so well done, and something I would have never ever expected. It couldn’t have been better.
Truly the 2019 debut we’ve been waiting for – this needs to be on your TBR.
