Release: 24th March 2016
Synopsis: Tell a lie and the darkness will find you. Quinn and Piper are twins, but they’ve never met. A tragic event brings
them together, and draws them into a family curse that stretches across centuries. One twin can command the darkness; the other could hold the key to breaking the curse.
But when lies become truth and truth looks like lies, who can you believe?Review:
They say that a little white lie won’t hurt, and it’s true – until those lies come back to haunt you. A gripping story of deceit, magic and mystery that will leave you never wanting to lie again.
Gosh I loved this book so much. It has been on my TBR for literally years, and then I decided that it was about time that I either read it or unhauled it. I am unbelievably happy that I made the decision to read it.
This book is like Parent Trap meets Charmed and I was living for it. I really liked how different the twins lives were, and how we could never tell which one was “good” and which one was “bad”.
The writing style truly blew me away. The split POV worked brilliantly, and I really loved being able to see how each sister saw the other, and getting firsthand accounts of how they grew up.
The ending completely left me in awe. I finished it and instantly started researching what other books Terri has written because I need them in my life.
This was definitely a surprise from the first page, but has definitely become one of my favourite reads of 2018.
If you haven’t read it yet, I can’t recommend it enough.
