Top Ten Tuesday – Popular Books That Lived Up To The Hype!

Hi everyone!

I’m back again with a new Top Ten Tuesday! ! TTT has actually moved from The Broke and the Bookish now and is actually over at That Artsy Reader Girl so go and check out everyone’s posts over there!

TTT-Big2

This week’s TTT is all about popular books! We all know that popular books can have a tendency to be over-hyped, but there are some books out there that deserve the hype they get – and these are some of my favourites!divider-2461548_1280

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

This book is absolutely wonderful. It was all I heard about in the months running up to it’s release earlier this year, and after reading it let me tell you it is so very worth it. The writing is everything and I adored it!

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

When I first read this it was EVERYWHERE. I had no idea what YA books were and just heard it sounded good, so picked it up and thank god I did! I still love this book SO much to this day.

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

Do I even need to talk about this series? I had read The Mortal Instruments and everyone told me that these were better but I was like “HOW??”, oh but they are THE BEST.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

This series took me a long while to actually buy. I kept seeing booktubers talk about it, and thought I might get them, but then one day I decided I wanted to join in the hype – and then the love story between me and Sarah began!

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Another book that had a very huge run up to publication, and for some very good reasons. I didn’t know whether it would live up to the hype…until I read it and then proceeded to SHOUT ABOUT IT EVERYWHERE. PLEASE read this book.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

I am extremely late to the Laini Taylor party I know, and I knew that Katytastic hyped this series SO much so I was wary in case I didn’t like it (I didn’t like Strange the Dreamer which I read first so I was worried!), but it was the complete opposite and instead I fell completely in love.

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes

I’m not normally a high fantasy fan, and I heard so many people on Twitter talking about how much they loved this. I decided to pick it up the other month and it was SO much better than I expected. The hype was real over this book, and it was justified.

Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

Sci-Fi books? Normally I’m good, but this? SIGN ME UP AND RIP MY HEART OUT….oh wait this series already did that. BUT IN THE BEST WAY!

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

I honestly don’t have words to discuss how much I love this book. Just believe me when I say it is 100000000% worth the hype.

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Mariam begged me to read this series, and I’d obviously heard how much WhittyNovels loved it so I picked it up and honestly? AMAZING. I love Warner always and FOREVER.

Thank you so much for reading this post, I hope you’ve read some of these books and loved them as much as I have! If you haven’t read them – then I definitely recommend them!

Leave a link below with your TTT too – I’d love to read it!

Until next time,
