I’m back with my BookTubeAThon 2018 TBR! I had SO much fun last year with the BTAT 17, and managed to read all of the books I set, and do the majority of the bookstagram and video challenges – it was one of the best weeks ever!
I’m so excited to once again be taking part in it this year, however due to having no wifi at home I probably won’t be able to take part in any of the booktube challenges *cries forever*. I still want to take part in the readathon though, so I will be doing as many of the bookstagram challenges and the reading challenges as I can fit around work!
Anyway let’s get into my TBR! There are so many amazing challenges this year, and I love them so let’s talk about it!
Coin Toss Choice:
For this challenge Ariel wants us to let a coin decide what we read, which I think is so much fun! I picked two books, The Dazzling Heights by Katharine McGee and The Shock of the Fall, and then tossed a coin to decide which one and the winner was…
The Dazzling Heights by Katharine McGee!
Something You Want to Do:
This challenge is one that took a LOT of thinking to find out what book to choose, and I looked at my bookshelf for a real long time to find one that fit. So what did I choose you’re wondering?
Resilient Me by Sam Owen! I chose this because it is a book that has the platform to help people to stop worrying, and to relieve stress and this is definitely something I want to do with my life as my mental health is something that has been getting to me recently!
Read and Watch a Book to Movie Adaptation:
I feel like this challenge would be a WHOLE lot easier if I had internet at home so I could use Netflix but hey ho – we make do with what we have and I thought of THE BEST ANSWER TO THIS ever. This is probably the challenge I’m most excited for because I get to re-read and re-watch one of my favourite books/films ever! I chose:
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer! Yes as you are all probably aware I ADORE this series, and I honestly can’t count the amount of times I’ve read and watched this book/film (last time I counted when I was younger it was over 50 times watched and over 30 times read!) and I’ve been wanting to reread for a while so this works perfectly!
A Book with Green on the Cover:
I actually didn’t notice before finding a book for this challenge just how few books I have with green on the cover and it turns out I only have about three! I need to change that for sure! However this challenge actually fits with my TBR for July, so for this I’ll be reading…
The Green Mile by Stephen King – I am VERY emotional about this book, and I have literally read one page of the book so far in preparation and I am already so sad, so wish me luck!
Read a Book While Wearing the Same Hat:
This is the most unique challenge, and I love this about BTAT – it’s unlike anything I’ve taken part in before! I think I’ll be reading the book for this with a baseball cap on because that’s about the only hat we have in the house at the moment. I’ll be reading for this:
Orgo Runners: Glider Attack by R. J. Furness – I think this will be such a good read for this challenge and I can’t wait to read it!
A Book with a Beautiful Spine:
I love a good book spine, and as you know I do love a beautiful cover (I fall for them all the time), so this challenge left me stumped because there are SO many amazing book spines out there! I got Ben to help me choose for this, and after a good think he chose…
Invictus by Ryan Graudin – isn’t this just absolutely beautiful? I love the cover and the spine is the same design it is completely stunning!
Read Seven Books:
For this I chose a book I’ve really been wanting to read for a while, and I can’t wait to read this book. I chose for this final challenge:
One Way by S. J. Morden – this book sounds SO interesting, and definitely right up my street after picking it up at the Orion on Tour event the other month and I am so excited to read it!
There we go, my BTAT TBR is here and I can’t wait to get straight into it this week – let me know your TBR! Leave a comment and link below and I’ll definitely check it out!
