Today I’m back with a tag that is VERY unusual for my blog! I know that this is a book blog, but my lovely Ash from For the Love of Books tagged me in this and it looked WAY too much fun to pass on! I hope you all don’t mind!
I cheated and did 20 because it fit better! I thought since I use Spotify and my normal iPod songs I’d do 10 of each!
- Thank the person who nominated you for this tag and link to their blog.
- Shuffle your entire music library (no matter how old songs the songs are) and talk about the FIRST FIFTEEN songs that come up (anything like why they are there, if they signify something, any story, why you like them, etc.)
- Mention the songs as well as the artists.
- Tag 7 people or more to do this tag and please let them know!
I’m excited because I have a VERY wide song variety so let’s get into it!
OFF MY IPOD
1.The Way of the Fist – Five Finger Death Punch
I hadn’t heard of 5FDP until I met Ben and he introduced me but I really do love them now! They’re so unique and have some amazing lyrics!
2. Julie – Take That
Okay so very different than the previous song but I love Take That so much. I’ve also been to see them at Wembley (back when there was actually 5 of them!) and THEY WERE AMAZING.
3. Famous – Scouting For Girls
This song always makes me want to dance, and is one that never fails to cheer me up! They’re also one of my dad’s favourite bands and seeing them with my dad live is a memory I’ll never forget!
4. Final Act – Sherlock Soundtrack Series 1
The Sherlock soundtracks are something I waited for forever because the music to the BBC show is EVERYTHING. It also really helps me when I’m studying or writing blog posts as I don’t get distracted singing lyrics!
5. Introducing Me – Camp Rock 2
Okay I LOVE CAMP ROCK. I remember listening to the songs when I was younger and learning all the lyrics to this one (even in the fast bit) made me so proud!
6. Ransacked – Doctor Who Soundtrack Series 6
Doctor Who will always have a special place in my heart (hence why I have a tattoo for it!), and just like the Sherlock soundtracks I just really love how calming they are.
7. Forget You – Glee Cast ft. Gywneth Paltrow
Glee used to be one of my all time favourite shows, and I’m sorry but how can you not dance to this song? Gywneth nails it!
8. 4 Minutes – Glee Cast
THIS IS AN ANTHEM LET’S BE HONEST. It makes me feel SO powerful and I have no idea why???
9. Make This One Last – Scouting For Girls
It always makes me cry and this album is one I hold really close to my heart because of how much my dad and I loved it.
THE BLACK PARADE WHAT AN ALBUM. Do I even need to say more???
10. Cancer – My Chemical Romance
11. Rose Red Violet Blue – Stone Sour
I recently discovered Stone Sour after I began loving Slipknot (thanks Ben again!), and went to see them live and ADORED THEM. This song is so sassy, and reminds me of seeing them for the first time with Ben on a lovely weekend away!
12. Paciencia Y Fe – In the Heights
I love Lin-Manuel Miranda – I don’t know how else to discuss this other than I would listen to anything he writes?
13. How Do You Love Someone – Ashley Tisdale
This album used to be on repeat when I was younger, and I’ve recently rediscovered it which is brilliant. This is so dramatic and an anthem for rainy sad days.
14. It Won’t Be Long Now – In The Heights
Please see above comment about how much I ADORE Lin.
15. Zzyzx Rd. – Stone Sour
Again I have fallen in love with this band and with Corey Taylor – at this point he could hum for 74302 hours and I’d give it a 10/10.
16. The Greatest Show – The Greatest Showman
MY FAVOURITE FILM EVER. This song is everything, and just instantly makes me happy the second that I hear the opening notes.
17. Sacred Lie – Disturbed
Another band I discovered through Ben, and another that sound absolutely amazing. I love their songs and how meaningful they are.
18. I Would – One Direction
Do I still like One Direction? YES AND I AM NOT ASHAMED OKAY. I love this and I Want – they are both so fun and remind me of going to see them live on my 16th Birthday! I don’t regret it okay!
19. All The Stars – Kendrick Lamar ft. SZA
So not only do I love this song, but it also reminds me of going to see Black Panther and how much I love that film! Everytime I hear it I can picture different scenes from the film and it makes me happy! WAKANDA FOREVER
20. Wilson (Expensive Mistakes) – Fall Out Boy
My favourite band in the whole wide world. This song is amazing, and me and my best friend always sing it to each other because the lyrics are just us completely. I remember us driving in her car and realising how much the lyrics describe us – it was amazing. Seeing this live? PRICELESS.
There we go! That was very fun and very insightful into my music tastes! I really hope you liked this post, and if it wasn’t your thing I promise we’ll be back to normal bookish schedule on Friday! Thanks again Ash for tagging me, and make sure to go check her blog out!
Anyone who wants to do it!
Until next time,
