Release: 3rd May 2018
Synopsis: I am neither monster nor man – yet I am both. I am the Beast. I know why I was cursed; I know the legacy of evil I carry in my tainted blood. So how could she ever love me? My Isabeau. She opened my eyes, my mind and my heart when I was struggling just to be human. And now I might lose her forever.
A great refreshing take on a “tale as old as time”, if you wanted to find out more about the Beast, then this is definitely the book for you.
First off I wanted to talk about how absolutely beautiful this book is, I am literally in shock at how stunning it is! The foil gold, the art, the writing – everything is just beautiful.
Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite things in the world, so much I even have a tattoo dedicated to it! This book had mixed reviews, and I was a little unsure as to how I would feel about it. I really loved it though, which was a lovely surprise!
The writing was beautiful, and I was really immersed in the story from the start. One of my favourite things was the insight into the Beast’s feelings regarding how he first felt after being cursed, and also after meeting Isabeau (The Beast’s Heart version of Belle!).
I also loved how headstrong Isabeau was, and I loved their interactions throughout the book. It was definitely a different take on a classic story, but one done with care and love and I am definitely a huge fan.
If you love the original story, then this is different in many ways but definitely one that deserves some love, and includes a wonderful new creation of what it means to be The Beast!

*NOTE: I was sent this book in return for an honest review and that is what I have written. All opinions are my own and are completely truthful.*
