But when she’s targeted by a vicious mobster who believes she’s hiding an occult relic, she’s drawn into the very world she’s been fighting to avoid. Hunted by assassins and haunted by her mother’s dark legacy, Rumer must also confront a terrible truth: that she’s cursed, because no matter what she does, everybody she’s ever grown close to has died screaming.divider-2461548_1280Review:

Impossible to put down, this book is definitely the book 2018 has been waiting for. Think Jessica Jones meets Ellen Ripley, and you’ve got the perfect character – Rumer.

The sass, the action, the drama – this book has everything you could ever need. Killing Rumer has the best writing style I’ve read in a while. Right from the first chapter, Joshua’s writing completely captivated me and I didn’t want to put the book down until I’d finished it.

Every character was written perfectly, and the dynamic of them all together was pure genius. The way Rumer interacts with other characters, and also the way she carries herself out of situations was something that really stood out to me.

The pacing was done extremely well and really kept me invested with the story the entire time I was reading it. It’s been a long time since I loved a book as much as I loved this one, and I don’t think anything will top this for a long while.

The ending completely blew me away, and I wish that I could carry on reading a new book about Rumer now. I wanted to start the book all over again the minute I turned the last page!

Compelling, gripping and unbelievably sassy, this book is an outstanding 2018 novel, and Joshua is definitely one to watch out for this year.
