Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Liked But Will Never Re-Read

Hi everyone!

I’m back again with a new Top Ten Tuesday! ! TTT has actually moved from The Broke and the Bookish now and is actually over at That Artsy Reader Girl so go and check out everyone’s posts over there!

Today’s TTT is about books that I absolutely loved, but ones I probably won’t re-read! There are so many books out there that were just brilliant, but it takes a lot to get me to re-read books sometimes as I have a HUGE TBR!divider-2461548_1280

The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis

I loved this series when I was little, and although it will always be special to me I just don’t think I can read it again – I have to be in the mood for it and I don’t think I will be again!

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

THIS BOOK RUINED ME. I sobbed for 2 days, so I don’t think I actually have the heart to read this again. I always want to but then I remember how it killed me and I think “hmmm maybe not yet”.

The Girl with All the Gifts by M. R. Carey

I thought this was such a unique book and it was so brilliant, but I think it might just be a one time read for me! I tried to re-read it once, but it didn’t feel as good as the first time, so maybe this is a one time thing for me!

The Last Star by Rick Yancey

This was by far my favourite book of the series and I am still completely shook by it, but I think now I know how it ends the surprise has worn off and I don’t feel like I ever want to re-read, which is a shame!

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

(See TFIOS above) – this made me cry so much, and I am so not read to read it all over again. I’m more than happy to stare at it longingly on my shelf for now at least!

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Screenplay by J. K. Rowling

I think this book is so amazing, and my first read was brilliant, but something about the script style – I just feel I’d rather watch the movie again!

Wonder by R. J. Palaccio

Are you seeing a common theme here??????????

Angus Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison

This entire series is one of my favourites, but there’s just so many and I remember loving them so much, I don’t want to re-read them and ruin those memories! They will always have a place in my heart though!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

The biography of my fangirl life and this could definitely be a re-read one day, but I have SO many books to read on my TBR that I just don’t have time to re-read. I’m so sorry Cath, you’re my favourite!

Deja Dead by Kathy Reichs

What a series. The TV series, the book series I love them all! But I just feel like I’ve given up now on the rest of the series, but this will always be my favourite. Will I re-read? Probably not…but never say never!

There we go! I wish I could re-read them all I really do! What’s on your TTT?

Until next time,

  1. I definitely agree with you on “The Fault in Our Stars” it was so emotional and I can’t see someone wanting to put themselves through that again. I need to read “The Chronicles of Narnia” though. I have the collected edition, but stopped at “The Horse and his boy” in it. Maybe I will do that before the end of the year. Great list!
