Release: 7th April 2015
Synopsis: Simon Spier is sixteen and trying to work out who he is – and what he’s looking for. But when one of his emails to the very distracting Blue falls into the wrong hands, things get all kinds of complicated. Because, for Simon, falling for Blue is a big deal . . . It’s a holy freaking huge awesome deal.
A heart-warming coming of age story, with a message that will be passed down throughout history – always be true to yourself!
This book is currently one of the most talked about books in the world, and after FINALLY reading it I can see why! I’m even writing a university essay on it!
Simon vs is the book everyone needs to read, I just love how heart warming it is, but also how it deals with some very important and emotional topics of conversation; namely having to come out to your family and friends about your sexuality.
I loved how the book was written, it was so friendly and easy to read. It felt very light hearted at times and was a really lovely read, Becky has a beautiful writing style.
The reaction Simon has when he is outed is one of the most raw and emotional things I’ve ever read. I felt every single thing Simon felt, his betrayal, his fear at the views of others, and the anger at not being allowed to come out himself when he was comfortable. It had such an impact and I am still in awe at how well it was done.
Simon and his friends are some of the best characters, and I adore Leah with all my heart (DID YOU KNOW SHE’S GETTING A BOOK? I’M SO EXCITED!), and together they made such a wonderful book.
A warm and beautiful book about growing up, being who you are, and accepting your own truths. It was a deeply emotional book with a message to last a lifetime through the generations.

*NOTE: I was sent this book in return for an honest review and that is what I have written. All opinions are my own and are completely truthful.*
