Release: 8th April 2014
Synopsis: Two worlds are poised on the brink of a vicious war. By way of a staggering deception, Karou has taken control of the chimaera’s rebellion and is intent on steering its course away from dead-end vengeance. The future rests on her.
When the brutal angel emperor brings his army to the human world, Karou and Akiva are finally reunited–not in love, but in tentative alliance against their common enemy. It is a twisted version of their long-ago dream, and they begin to hope that it might forge a way forward for their people. And, perhaps, for themselves. But with even bigger threats on the horizon, are Karou and Akiva strong enough to stand among the gods and monsters?
The conclusion that we were waiting for, and definitely the one we needed. A thrilling end to such a brilliant trilogy!
Once again (for the final time I promise!) I just have to mention that these covers are BEAUTIFUL! I just adore the colours of them and they fit so well to the series!
I felt the start of the book was a bit slow compared to the two previous ones in the trilogy. It was interesting, but at times I just wish more happened because I was so used to everything kicking off so quickly as soon as I started the book.
However saying that I really loved the action and how Karou fully developed her character and became even stronger than ever. I loved how she took charge, and her relationship with everyone in the book – especially Zuzana and Akiva – was written perfectly.
I also liked how the romance wasn’t just about Karou and Akiva – and let me tell you the other “couple” in this book are THE DREAM I am not okay still!
The ending was outstanding and although a slow start was a perfect ending to the trilogy, I couldn’t be happier!
If you’re looking for a trilogy that will make you cry, make you happy and leave you constantly wanting to read more about the world in which it’s set – please go and read this series!
