Other Buys:

Title: A Shiver of Snow and Sky by Lisa Lueddecke

I saw this when I went to Leeds with Ben and I couldn’t not pick it up! The cover is absolutely stunning, and it sounds amazing!

Synopsis: On the frozen island of Skane, the sky speaks. Beautiful lights appear on clear nights, and their colours have meaning: Green means all is well, and the Goddess is happy. Blue means a snow storm is on the way. And then there’s red. Red is rare. A warning. Seventeen years ago the sky turned red just as Osa was born, unleashing a plague that claimed the lives of hundreds of villagers, including her own mother. This time, when the night sky once again bleeds crimson, she must discover what it means before so many lives are lost again.

Title: Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer

Ben picked this up for me to get, and I’m so glad I did! It sounded so amazing, and intriguing and it definitely lived up to my expectations! Find my review here: Annihilation Review.

Synopsis: For thirty years, Area X has remained mysterious and remote behind its intangible border – an environmental disaster zone, though to all appearances an abundant wilderness. The Southern Reach, a secretive government agency, has sent eleven expeditions to investigate Area X. One has ended in mass suicide, another in a hail of gunfire, the eleventh in a fatal cancer epidemic. Now four women embark on the twelfth expedition into the unknown.

Title: Mindhunter by R. J. Furness

Now retired, Douglas can let us inside the FBI elite serial crime unit and into the disturbed minds of some of the most savage serial killers in the world. The man who was the inspiration for Special Agent Jack Crawford in The Silence of the Lambs and who lent the film’s makers his expertise explains how he invented and established the practice of criminal profiling; what it was like to submerge himself mentally in the world of serial killers to the point of ‘becoming’ both perpetrator and victim; and individual case histories including those of Jeffrey Dahmer, Charles Manson, Ted Bundy and the Atlanta child murders.

Title: Blackout by Mira Grant

I FINALLY OWN THE FINAL BOOK IN THE SERIES OH MY GOD!!!!! I saw this again in Waterstones and HAD to get it! I’m so excited to finally continue with this series!!
