Synopsis: For thirty years, Area X has remained mysterious and remote behind its intangible border – an environmental disaster zone, though to all appearances an abundant wilderness.

A creepily fascinating book that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, and leave you questioning what is real.

First off the cover of this book is absolutely stunning, and it definitely explains the synopsis so well. It’s one of the nicest covers I’ve seen in a while! The story in itself was so intriguing, and had a perfect balance of mixing the past events with the present ones. It really allowed for an immersive story, and I was completely invested.

It was so unique how we didn’t know any of the characters names, just their titles. It added to the eerie aspect of the story so much, and really helped to keep the mysterious element alive. Each character worked so well with the others, and each one was so unique that I felt like I was involved in the story too.

The world building of the book is done absolutely brilliant, it was such amazing writing and the world was so real to me.

The concept and writing style was brilliant, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the rest of the trilogy! It’s also going to be made into a film next year, and I’m so excited to see how they adapt it for the screen!
